About Elephant Design Lab
Sort3d Ltd (t/a Elephant Design Lab) is a creative 3D printing and digital-fabrication studio. We partner with artists, designers and brands to deliver production-grade 3D models, high-fidelity renders, and polished product visuals alongside real-world fabrication and finishing.

The Role
You’ll own the end-to-end creation of visual assets for client projects—translating briefs into compelling 3D/2D outputs that help clients approve, launch and sell products. Working closely with our fabrication and post-processing teams, you’ll ensure visuals align with materials, finishes and production timelines.

What you’ll do
Liaise with clients to clarify project aims, media/tech stack, timelines and budgets.
Research references and prior work; assess cost/feasibility across 3D printing, finishing and visual production options.
Prepare sketches, scale drawings, 3D mock-ups, colour schemes and prototypes; iterate from feedback.
Produce specifications and clear instructions for realisation, from CAD/CAM assets to marketing outputs.
Coordinate with fabrication, post-processing and photography so design fits processes and timescales.
Produce or oversee final deliverables (client-ready renders, print-ready artwork, social/web assets) with rigorous QC.

What you’ll bring (Essentials)
Strong portfolio showcasing 3D modelling, lighting and rendering plus 2D design for print/digital.
Proficiency in a major 3D DCC (e.g., Blender/C4D/3ds Max/Maya) and a render engine (Cycles/Octane/Redshift/Arnold).
Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects/Premiere), colour management, and press-ready artwork skills.
File hygiene, versioning and asset-library discipline; solid communication with clients and internal teams.
Ability to scope, estimate and hit deadlines with minimal rework.

Nice to have
Experience translating CAD to visualisation meshes; familiarity with slicing/print constraints.
Product photography/videography, retouching and short-form motion.
Basic scripting or pipeline tooling; interest in DfAM and material finishes.

Why join us
Work on diverse, design-led projects that go from screen to physical product.
New-kit budget, training allowance, and clear progression in a growing studio.
25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, and flexible hybrid policy after onboarding.
